Whilst Peter Britcliffe may use her as such (although I don't know that he does) it is generally considered that anything you want to get into the papers is your own affair to sort out. It may be completely different for the controlling group but officially the council is not there to arrange political promotion within the press.

That hasn't stopped them approving The Beacon newspaper which you will all be getting through your letterboxes shortly (Baxenden even more shortly) to show what the whole council does.

From reading it, it would appear that we don't have any Labour or Independent councillors at the moment though. Still, the legal team have approved it so it can't be political promotion can it?
I got my Beacon yesterday.

How much did it cost, despite being 'free'?
