Not going to repeat my thoughts on why not again ... except is a very pretty small place that can be walked around in less than a couple of hours. Primarily a tourist town with boat rides on the canal, meeting of two rivers, good centre for hikers, so is successful in this right alone. It's a lovely day out. It takes much less time to walk around the centre of Accrington, and yes I am sure that the canal and the hikes around the area are a big draw to certain types, but many folk who go by car..(or by train) go there because it is a pretty place, with diverse shops......individual shops not the huge multi national chains.
It offers a unique shopping experience,it is a lovely meeting place and it is a very enjoyable day out.
Why can't Accrington do the same?
What do they do so well that we can't accomplish, but in our own way?
