I think Andrew B is right. The Accrington urban area covers some 55,000 people so there will always be an Accrington seat plus 20,000 surrounding.

Currently there are 7,000 extra in Harwood which was with Clitheroe and 8,000 in part of Haslingden making 70,000. The new boundaries demand 76,000.

Mr Berry is concerned about his seat but Darwen in my view sits badly with Rossendale and Rossendale on it's own is way too small at 45,000 plus 8,000 in Haslingden. Jakes view is that he needs another 22,000 splitting Accringtons population of 35,000.
