It made me think that Hyndburn Council could think about twinning with Wootton Bassett. Both towns share a feeling of loss over the deaths of young lads. WB might want to become a Pal of Accrington.

I have sent one off to the Town Hall.

I have taken the opportunity to air a grievance of mine -= that the cortege in WB should not be preceded by an undertakler but by a very senior military leader - a colonel representing the serviceman's regiment.
A great idea Bob, hope that it can be arranged.
I do have one change to your grievance - an Honour Squad, Army or RAF it doesn't really matter which - a Senior Officer on his own would probably screw it up.
