Was Accrington a cotton town

Bear with me on this , compared to Blackburn how many looms did Accrington have ? ... ok I'm an Arroder (Gt. Harwood ) and Accy by marrige , but I can remember when Gt. Harwood had 22 weaving sheds, for a population of less than 10K , seems to me Accrington was more of a spining/processing/dyeing/manufacturing town than a weaving/cotton town....
I know that Ossy had both spining and weaving mills and Rishton had a couple of weaving mills ...........
question ... could anyone with computer skills produce a map of the Hyndburn area where different cotton processes were carried out in each Hyndburns townships
thanks
