Yes Less, I agree this is not a sane discussion.
If you use 2"-3" depth of Catsan absorbant white litter granules you dont need to change it more than once a week. The solids need to be removed daily with a pooper scooper, but the liquid is absorbed and does not begin to emit any smell until at least a weeks worth of urine eventually saturates most of the granules.

I don't have much sympathy with people who won't take the trouble to use terry nappies. My son never had nappy rash, and I coped with the frequent boiling of nappies, even when I returned to full time work when he was 13 months old.
