There are disposable nappy liners which filter the solids and are the size of kleenex tissues - won't take up much bin room.
I can assure you that a toilet flush rinse removes a lot and the Napisan sterilises and deodorises before they are laundered.
Of course common sense says use the hottest cycle on you washing machine and wash separately.
