The adverts annoying me at the moment are the ones which provide an over-romanticised picture of Christmas, like the Delia Smith ads and the Tesco (or is it ASDA) ones with the posh sister (Belcher?) and the bloke who wrapped his stomach in clingfilm in the Full Monty. The worst is probably the Jamie Oliver one , with everyone having a jolly jolly time in the snow, and Jamie bringing in the turkey to a cosy dining room with warm log fires.
Where is the reality of the rows, sulking, suffering of having to spend time with people you can't stand, and general arguing that goes with most family Christmases?
Or am I being too cynical?
