If they hadn't made up the name Windsor, to hide their Germanic roots in WW I, and followed the rules of the rest of society, the Queen would have been born Princess Elizabeth Saxe-Coburg Gotha, and besides is only on the throne anyway because of the claim of the German house of Hanover.

About as British as sauerkraut sandwiches.
