Re: queen's speech

Mentioned before, but sort of relevant.

My great Uncle, Cllr. Joe Aspinall, used to get into trouble because he'd never stand for God Save the Queen, being a staunch republican. Even at Buckingham Palace, which he was forced to attend, when Chairman of the old Ossy Urban Council.

I was once at a concert at the Barbican, when some lacky announced 'Would we be pleased be upstanding for Her Royal Highness Princess Michael of Kent'.

Guess who was the only person to remain, seated, even though the former hairdresser and daughter of a leading Nazi, was sat in the seat directly infront of me?

Don't know where I get it from.
