I wouldn't entirely blame the stall for that. We went to Asda for the fortnightly big shop on Friday and got a chicken which seems to have skipped up in price by about a quid in the last month.
The VAT has pushed things up all round I noticed but I suppose the costs of rearing and feeding something like a chicken have all gone up, hence a bigger rise.
