Judging by the tone of many posts here, that might well be true.
There is no way of proving it, so it will remain a 'theory' - it just seems to explain a lot.

This Horizon program, and there have been others, in theory indicate that what the human brain percieves as reality, is a fraction of what is actually "out there" in the universe. So re-incarnation is perfectly feasible.
As they have stated there are possibly multiple realities - so it's perfectly feasible that upon death, we could re-incarnate in another world identical to this one, on another dimension.
Some people say that the idea of an afterlife and re-incarnation is escapism. I think the opposite is true, it's safer not to believe in this stuff, so your right there will be a lot of people who just want to stay in the herd and keep their heads down - burried in the sand! Maybe some of them were Ostriches' in past lives!?
