Re: Shrewsbury
At 1-1 I thought the third goal of the game was going to be pivotal to tonight's result and it was the Shrews who got it (though it did look ten country miles offside!). However that said we were ultimately punished for our own failures. We failed to replace Kevin Long's height, we failed to attack balls put into the box, and we failed to adapt our game for the terrible pitch conditions. Their 'keeper was fantastic and if he hadn't been in goal, perhaps we'd have grabbed an all important second goal. However with lacklustre performances from McConville and Putterill in particular, our attack was not at full strength.
Man of the match - the lionhearted Sean Hessey. Fantastic performance.
Villain - the ref. Mr Sargison needs to wake up and realise that even battles of games can be fair battles and should be allowed to be played! Infuriatingly whistle-happy.
