i am after information about huncoat power station doeas any1 no when it first opened?also when did hyndburn borough council buy the land.all i know is that the houses before the bungalows that are on station road now the power station workers used to live in them.does any1 know.please help or point me in the right direction

Huncoat power station construction began in 1950 and was finished, and opened in 1956.My dad worked there for over 30 years more or less up to its closure then he moved to padiham powerstation until retirement.
