Some don't like the uncovered flagged floor, because of the uneveness. Personally I think it looks good.
What people are very disappointed with is the resulting feeling of it looking empty, with fewer market stalls.
Residents are also very unhappy that traders are forced to work hours unacceptable to them. After they'd run their businesses successfully for years, before the six day mandate was imposed on them.
Some (philistines) were even angry that tax payers' money was paid to a woman to sit crocheting in the newly 'liberated empty terrain', in the guise of 'community art'. Space which prior to that had been taken up by a market stall, selling goods people were actually prepared to purchase with real money.
Besides that, it is a roaring success.
At least for some.
Who have a certificate to prove it.
