The article says they are using the residual heat AFTER the cremation as they cool the furnace(with a blast of air?). So the loved one is long gone, no disrespect given. They'll have to cool the furnace before they open the doors again(800C to 150C) or the next coffin would pre-ignite, set the curtains on fire and disrupt the service.
If you can accept taking home ground up bones you can accept waste heat left after the cremation being put to good use. No problem.
