I do know that Nori supplied all the bricks which went into making a long large diameter tunnel through Erdington, Nr Birmingham. Gilbraith Haulage took many thousands of the things all hand loaded and unloaded. The bricks all had a slight curve in them to make a snug fit when they formed the pipe. I am sure they must have been water resistant and most certainly acid resistant other wise the mucky wet stuff would seep out into the ground around the tunnel.
