Re: Hyndburn's New Tourist Attraction

This is an email we have recieved. Rather puts a dampner on Cllr Howarths wild claims of a waiting list for stalls in there eh. All they need to do is LISTEN TO THE PUBLIC !!!

Quote:
Dear Councillor,

As you are aware the Council has just spent over £2M upgrading our
wonderful Market Hall. This has already paid dividends as we have been
voted Britain's best indoor market for 2011.

Most stalls are now let but we still have 5 vacant. We can offer
prospective traders special introductory offers meaning they would pay a
reduced amount for the first six months.

Also, the Enterprise Haven is situated on the top balcony of the Market
Hall. These small business units contain a range of 'start up' business
and are designed to encourage budding entrepreneurs to get a foot on the
business ladder by providing space at minimal cost.

Our goal is to build upon our accolade as Britains best indoor market
and ensure Accrington Market achieves its true potential. I'm sure you
would agree that a fully let, vibrant Market Hall is something we all want to see.

It would be fantastic if you could encourage people into the market (if
every household in Hyndburn spent just £5 per week in the market this
would generate over £150 000!) and bear the Market in mind when meeting
potential business contacts.

If you want any further information please do not hesitate to get in
touch.
