I noticed this the other week on ebay:
The Art & Crafts Garden~Broad Oak~Accrington~Lancs.1900 on eBay (end time 24-Mar-11 19:28:53 GMT)
Everything about it says Arts & Crafts Movement. Now, I know we have an excellent example of this art in Church, but as regards the design for this garden, I'm perplexed. Was it ever built? Exactly where so? Are the remnants still there? If it wasn't built, why not?
The landscape gardner was the top knob of his day - the Edwardian Capability Brown - so this would have been quite a coup. But was it just another one of great ideas around Accy that never came to fruition?
