It wasn't "Tory landowning gentry" that stood the picket lines & threatened labours rule, it was average folk from across the political spectrum who felt unheard & ignored by their supposed benefactors. In fact it was these said benefactors that brought the full gamut of Police & Military to the table, to threaten & outlaw the rights of the protesters, aye Socialism is a wonderful thing if you're one of the party faithful & as long as you know your place.
In your Socialist land of Milk & Honey everyone will get free fuel so the problems will be null & void, but until that time....... the Arabs own the oil & we've just got to suck it up & keep paying the extortionate taxes on fuel to pay for your dream.
