Just a question: I remember that bus fares over there were calculated according to distance travelled. Is this still the case? Kingston Transit buses, owned and operated by the City of Kingston and subsidised by municipal taxes, charge $2.50 for a ride anywhere in the city limits. If you have to change buses, the transfer ticket is free. And another question: when did Accrington Corporation Transport (?) stop operating buses in the area? I have fond memories of riding the #1 from the Forts Arms in Clayton to the Black Dog in Ossie. Almost every stop was a pub.
And weren't the colours of the buses those of the Pals?
