If you think these people have gone away, they haven't, I saw one knocking on doors on my estate canvasing for Labour only last week, and round about this time of year I still get spurious phone calls in the early hours especially if I have been having a rant on here

Nothing wrong with gentlemanly disagreement and I know that it will always be respectful between us.
If something smells fishy then the public will come to suspect ulterior motives and that is precisely what has happened with the Conservatives recently. That isn't meant as a dig but openness and admission that things need to improve are far better standpoints than waving to the populace and constantly saying how wonderful you are.
There are some difficult times ahead and we have a team in place to try and make it as smooth as possible but for me the key to being a decent councillor is good interaction with the public and I give you my word that I will strive to continue that.
