Yes his wife mentioned all that including the heavy leather balls that got even worse in the wet and she told me George would never kick a goal if he could head it.

She told me the family believe these were major and even decisive factors in George suffering from Alzheimers' in his latter days.

Thought of him as I walked through a thunderstorm to Leeds library at 1pm.
