BT were having problems in Great Harwood last week, but one of my neighbours who uses Tiscali (or whatever it's called this week) posted this to the Great Harwood forum:

I have been having problems with my broadband since last week, crawling along at 350-400kbs. Yesterday I contacted the Talk Talk technical desk (at 10p per min) who started to go through a fault checking scenario. First check "which modem do you have?" Told them a Sagem and straight away they said "Oh thats no good now as last week we changed something (it was more technical than that but didn't understand it) and you need a new Modem, pretty poor service I thought.
