Or did start screaming and shouting, becoming hysterical and grasping his old chair with screeching fingernails, yelling out 'I don't want to go, I don't want to go.....' as a couple of burly men safely armlocked him and took the by now physical and mental wreck off the premises?

It wasn't the most dignified of exits and I understand that although the power of ejection has always been the right of the Mayor it has never been used before last night.
Graham Jones gave a very informative presentation on several parliamentary matters and I think that the vast majority present on both sides of the chamber found it useful. Regrettably, Cllr Britcliffe chose instead to leaf through the documents in his handbag and tear up papers as the MP spoke, seemingly mouthing to his councillors that Graham was being boring. Of course it could be that he was referring to the contents of his papers and I have completely misread his body language but personally speaking I thought he acted in a very ill-mannered way.
Full credit to the Conservative councillors as the remainder of the meeting was conducted in an extremely civil fashion, with excellent questions on The Green Deal coming from Cllrs Dobson and Marlene Haworth which provided useful answers for us all.
There simply isn't room for childish interjections by councillors and I welcome removal of any member from the chamber who sees fit to be a disruptive element of any future meeting.
