Re: Wetherspoons
I have heard some very good comments about Wetherspoons and a while ago when I was in Southport I decided to have my lunch in one.
I found the place on Lord Street and started to open the door but one side hit a childs push chair, or buggy as they are called. Three very young children, probably only one year old, were crawling about on the floor not far from the door, three women were sat at the bar having a good laugh and using foul language. I gave the place a miss.
I mentioned it to my mate when I got home and he has used them all over the Country and swears by them so I must have been unlucky that day. I passed the one in Accrington on Saturday and the prices in the window didn't look that cheap to me but I am used to supping in a Club where I admit it is usually cheaper.
