How can it be classed as a benefit when the farmers are working?
Land does not maintain itself. The money they get comes from the EU.
(OK, so we pay into the EU........so I guess we are paying for it in a round about way)
The Common Agricultural Policy was dreamed up by the Brussels bureaucrats to make sure the market wasn't flooded with .goods that wouldn't sell.
