Norway still has National Service, and access to firearms is still more liberal than in the UK. He would no doubt have been trained in the use of large calibre automatic weapons he may even have had further military training beyond the minimum period.

One thing puzzles me though. Breivik obtained money to purchase a large farm in Norway -from whom did he get the money? That farm was supposidly an organic farm, but he then proceeded to order 6 tons of nitrate fertiliser to make his Oslo bomb. Surely someone, somewhere, would have realised that any farm proclaiming to be organic would not use artificial nitrates.
