Yes....that maybe the case, but in Accrington the train station is quite a way from the centre of the town, the shops, the market....and there's the rub.
Tesco would
love the bus station to be near the railway station.........would enhance their sales no end...but as it is up the hill, and a good step out of town(especially for the elderly and mums with toddlers and prams) it would be hard to justify.....and town centre shops/market hall/market would suffer.
This poll is just a waste of time. The crux of the matter isn't do we want a new Bus Station .......but where is the right place for the bus station?
Obviously the answer has to be,
near all the shops and the market.
Anything else makes no sense and will leave to town on the skids.
