I have had my avatar since sometime in 2003 (I think). In the early days we had a thread about all things jammy, and various members love of the fruity delicacy that is jam.
A favorite of mine at the time were jammy wagon wheels, hence the wagon wheel avatar. The only time that my avatar changed was when I went to New Zealand at the end of 2003 and came back to find that one of the Mods (and I highly suspect it was Mick)
had changed my wagon wheel to a small pile of biscuit crumbs. After accusations and enquiries into which lousy git had eaten my wagon wheel............it was reinstated
