In general, I agree ... mankind is capable of anything, or almost anything, that we can think of. Which is not always a good thing. Although, right now, I don't think that we can do much about the asteroid. One thing that has always bugged me is that some folks can quite easily accept that St. Brendan crossed the Atlantic in a leather boat no bigger than my bathtub; but they disbelieve, or are highly sceptical about the moon landing

I remember viewing a tv show in which one dumbass hillbilly from Eastbejesus admited to believing in god, the angels, a literal intepretaion of Genesis, and the reality of hell; however, he considered the moon landings to be faked by the godless Democrats.
