A favourite comfort food of mine, a strange question you may think but what do you like on yours?
My mother is staying with me for a holiday and favours Bananas on toast!
(Possibly because they live within site of a banana plantation on Tenerife)
She speads a slice of toast generously with honey then adds banana slices and squishes them on top. I don't fancy it but she insisits its great.
A summer favourite of mine is what they call "Bruschetta" in Italy ( read as brusketta), you rub a slice of toasted crusty bread with garlic and then top with a mixture of seasoned chopped tomato and basil in olive oil.
