Gosh DaveinGermany, that poem TOMLINSON is amazing. I have to admit, have never even heard of it before.
Tonight I have been working with a guy who has suggested I look up works by a Wilfred Owen. Am just gonna go and get some sleep but when I waken up later today, will continue my quest.
Thanks for everyone's help and suggestions. Memory can play tricks, but my elderly friend feels the words he has given me are correct.
