Before you all start jumping on the bandwagon I doubt very much there was anything wrong with the car, and are we all forgetting the tragic accident that killed Jackie Bloomer & her 18 month old son, again an elderly driver (89 yrs old) who had a heart attack at the wheel.

So you think it is fair to remove the licence of someone purely on grounds of age?
And just because you doubt there were any faults with the car doesn't mean there weren't. I am sure the situation will be fully investigated.
Older drivers usually have more experience. drive within speed limits, and know their limitations.
This lady may never return to driving again.......she may be put off by the trauma she has gone through.
Every case should be judged on its own merits...and by people who know the full facts.
You will be this age yourself one day...if you are lucky enough.
And I haven't forgotten Jackie Bloomer and her son. It was a tragic accident...could not be forseen...she happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
