Really ? My comment was about a particular character, who by his very own comments shows leanings & attributes of a labour unionist (that being the gist of my comment with just a hint of humour)
Yes you can (assume), as that seems to be the view of
some Brits to the German populace. Having lived here for a few years I've met quite a few Germans all with a variety of viewpoints & attitudes, but
I choose who I associate with.
