On Wed. 12th October, the Accrington Grammar School Old Boys Association committee are meeting members of staff from schools in the area to discuss the implementation of an essay compeition amongst the 11plus pupils. AGSOBs are giving a prize of a lap-top computer to the winner's school, and a £50 prize to the winner him/herself. The essays will be on any topic involved with local or family history. Committee members from the Local History Society, the Family History Society & the Civic Society have been invited. The result will be declared at a meeting at Accrington Academy in the Spring of 2012.
