Re: Share Issue Promotion
At the risk of being branded negative, but I can't believe that people have not commented more on the pricing used in this share issue.
From my perspective, I can't help but feel that the shares are over-priced at £100 each. It's obvious that the shares have no real monetary value as such, and are therefore only 'valuable' in terms of them being 'Stanley shares' - an opportunity to 'own' a piece of the club.
The ownership of 1 share is really neither here nor there and whilst the ownership of 10 shares wouldn't give you any more say in things, it feels as though you're getting more for your money. With this in mind, pricing the shares at £10 each would surely have generated more interest amongst the masses.
From a personal perspective, at £100 for one I'm not interested in adding to my very tiny share holding, but at £10 each I might have bought 10 or so. In the grand scale of things it makes little difference I suppose, but I like to feel that I'm getting something for my cash.
