Loved Dad's Army, Rising Damp, Steptoe, and Fawlty Towers.

Classics, and still funny.

But for every one of those, there were ten more absolute dire comedies in the seventies.

Mind Your Language, It Ain't Half Hot, On the Buses, Love Thy Neighbour, Father, Dear Father, and everything single thing with Derek Nimmo in it.

My vote goes to the eighties.

Comic Strip, French and Saunders, Wood and Walters, Girls on Top, The Young Ones, Saturday Night Live, which showcased the then alternative comedians.

The eighties.

My tittering most era.
