... if it defines anything, it highlights how out of touch modern politicians are; and not only yours, many of ours are just as bad. But to call such "third-rate drivel" a "defining moment" is to cheapen the phrase...maybe both phrases.

There have been speeches that one can describe with such a term. On a list of the most significant speeches of all time, this one should be placed as an "also ran" after some of the ramblings of Spiro Agnew. Martin Luther King's (sorry, MLK

) "I have a dream" ... Winston Churchill, take your pick; I like the "We shall never surrender" speech ... FDR's "Lend Lease" speech ... even Pope Urban's preaching the First Crusade ... Martin Luther's nailing 95 theocrats
