Most of my evening dresses are black. I think it is more forgiving rather than a case of it being more or less attractive. That sounds just like me blazey - except you are 40 years younger. Forgot to mention pastels in my earlier post - but yuk!
Glad to see from your profile that you are helping to keep Lancaster Uni's bars afloat - and if you are doing law a penchant for black/grey might be a good start to a career!
You're right too about white for mourning (China/Japan), also red in S Africa, purple in Thailand and yellow in Egypt and Burma. Or at least that's what the www tells me!
