I do think it is reasonable for the electorate(who have not had a say in this matter since the mid 70's despite the many and varied changes to the original idea.....which to refresh those foggy memories.....was as trading partners...no mention of deep politicaland financial integration i.e. Brussels makes all the rules and we
pay to follow them) to have a say in things.
It is the democratic way to do things.
Ah Silly me......! the EU wants nothing to do with democratic process....see the results for those countries who were not keen to ratify the Lisbon Treaty....they were sent back to vote again until they got the right answer......that is, the one that the EU bureaucrats like.
