The original from Bologna is always served with Tagliatelle NEVER Spaghetti which are from the South of Italy and are delicious served with many other sauces... Have you never noticed that the sauce doesn't coat Spaghetti? Therefore it is not a good combination!
Don't know how you can dislike Tuna -either tinned or fresh -wonderful fish. Here in Italy they call it "La bistecca del mare" ie The Steak of the sea...as it is so meaty. Spaghetti with tuna is a great quick meal...

That's probably why I don't like tuna - prefer fish to be fishy not meaty. Don't think my fishmonger grandad would have had any on his stall in the fifties - I was brought up on cod, hake, haddock...
I used to keep tagliatelle in my store cupboard but can't be arsed to keep several kinds of pasta these days - stick to spag, farfalle and lasagne.
