I know of an Engineering retailer in Accrington, excellent service, always helpful, would bend over backwards to give customer satisfaction, quality tools of all descriptions.
I won't say where it is, obviously the thread starter doesn't know of them and they deserve better customers than him. Why should I help a moaner that couldn't be bothered to ask for the shop manager when the assistant was lax in his job?
I've always been treated well at the shop he is complaining about and had estimates/quotes without hassle or hesitation.
