Hypocricy, Bluster and Spherical objects

Well you've got to laugh, haven't you. It's either that or advancing en masse on the House of Commons brandishing pitchforks and blazing torches.

On December 29th 2011, our worthy and much respected MP managed to find time from his busy schedule to make the following post in the thread concerning Willow Mount WMC.

"I am proud to have voted to defend workers rights and environmental legislation (which is what this was all about if you followed it closely). It is always disappointing when working people cross over to the dark side, persuaded to support the arguments of the Daily Mail / Tories / Fat Cats but that is something you have to live with."

He was writing after weeks of silence following the extensive criticism of his decision to vote with his party and the Government in denying his constituents a referendum over europe.

You will note especially the first sentence of the quotation; the bit about the defence of worker's rights. All very Labour, cloth caps and whippets that, could have come straight out of the mouth of Marx himself.

Then, Lancashire Evening Telegraph, ran a story on our MP's call for the preservation of his favourite breed of ratter, commenting that the breed had strong associations with the Royal Family in the persons of King George V and the Princess Margaret, among others.

Those with keen eyes and an enquiring mind would naturally be curious to see what LET's readers had to say on the subject and so would read the comments beneath the online article. On doing so they would have found a reference to an online blog...

Da Steeps Speaks: Slave labour required

which, at some length details just how respectful of worker's rights Graham Jones MP actually is.

A fair day's work for a fair day's pay?

Not if you work for Graham Jones, the champion of worker's rights, it seems.

Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive
