I wasn't sure! But the point I was sure about was that the prisoner has to send them a visitors request form and that visitors can't just turn up on the day and demand to see a prisoner.
Which is what you see in soups and the way it's done is like it's on the same day or the day after someone gets nicked! Perhaps it certain circumstances they can? But once someone is convicted they can't!
