A friend of mine was diagnosed with very agressive leukaemia in her early forties. She was fitted for an NHS wig which was horrible....she hated it and thought it could be spotted a mile off. She went to see a hiardresser friend, who thinned it and trimmed it....it did look better once this had been done.
It didn't get much wear. My friend preferred her colourful scarves and when she got confidence.....a bare head.
When her hair did grow back it was curly and she hadn't one grey hair.
She has now been in remission for 20 years....and is considered cured.(though she always crosses her fingers when she says that)
