Both cause the NHS vast sums.

Smokers pollute the air around them causing non smokers to breathe in their smoke.

Obese people do not exude fat causing thin people to absorb their excess adipose tissue.

I have absolutely no problem with smokers wishing to smoke in their own home/car etc and if I choose to go into that home then I do so knowing that I will breathe in the smoke. That's my choice. It's also my choice not to have smoke in my house.

All this law is doing is giving non smokers the chace to breathe clean air in public places. As a non-smoker I am not vilifying smokers. I will defend their right to choose to smoke just so long as it doesn't mean I have to breathe in the smoke. It could be an alternative solution for a public place to provide a "smoking room" with adequate ventilation so that the smoke didn't drift to the rest of the place.
