It is just another story of alien abduction, of which there are many.
Whether you believe it or not depends on whether you are willing to consider it possible.
Incidentally, the depiction of ostriches here was misleading - the pictures he drew as a child (allegedly) looked more like praying mantids.
Even if you consider alien abduction is possible, there is no benefit to be gained from believing them all to be true - often they are fabricated for material gain (books sell)
