Further to your interest in the plaques and memorial to the pit disaster, here are some pics I took this afternoon whilst the dog was taking me a walk, and yes he did pick up after me.
The plaque is attached to the bridge in Altham (Burnley Road). You can just see were the bridge is, the hump in the road just past the road sign, in the long shot picture.
