A wise decision to leave lettie at home. All our hard earned would be frittered away before we got back to Calais. We would definitely be potless after the ferry journey back to Blighty; lettie would buy up all remaining stocks of Eau de Bog-Watter in the duty free.

I'm putty in lettie's hands. Only yesterday i was encouraged & cajouled into parting with 2+k in the travel agents. 'Ang on a minute, where was that surprise holiday you were taking me, lettie? It wasn't Germany by any chance, was it?
